What is polymer clay?

Qu'est ce que l'argile polymère ?

All my jewelry is primarily crafted using polymer clay.

Polymer clay is a modeling material composed of PVC, plasticizers, mineral fillers, and pigments.

The plasticizer in all polymer clays is EU-approved for use in toys.

Since all polymer clays are formulated in a similar way, they are fully compatible with one another.

They are non-toxic.

Polymer clay comes in small square blocks, available in various brands and colors.

The patterns are created within the clay itself. Each part of the design is crafted separately and then assembled to form a "cane" (a type of cylindrical log).

The cane is then sliced into thin pieces and applied to a surface of raw clay or directly onto a metal base.

To harden permanently, the prepared design must be baked in a household oven at 110°C-130°C (230°F-266°F) for 30 minutes.

Once baked, the patterns are sanded, polished, and varnished.

Working with polymer clay is a lengthy and meticulous process that requires a great deal of patience, resulting in unique and beautiful creations.

All my jewelry is mounted on stainless steel or 24K gold-plated brass findings to prevent allergies.
